FORENSIC SOLUTIONS / SIGNATURES & HANDWRITING

Turn a disputed signature into a structured comparison.

Bring questioned signatures, independent references and handwriting evidence into one connected examination. Compare visible characteristics, quantify writing features and keep every output linked to its source.

Does the questioned writing share characteristics with the known references?

01 / CAPABILITY

Multi-reference comparison

Compare a questioned signature with a set of known signatures rather than relying on a single pairing.

02 / FROM SOURCE TO OUTPUT

A practical route
through the evidence.

A documented comparison of shape, stroke structure and writing features.

  1. 01

    Prepare the comparison

Extract signature candidates from a document or start with an image. Keep questioned material separate from independently sourced known samples.

  2. 02

    Compare more than one signal

Use multiple reference signatures, visual comparison and handwriting measurements to examine agreement and differences across the evidence.

  3. 03

    Build the evidence record

Bring comparison outputs, reference information and linked crops into the reporting workflow, with the source and selected method retained.

START WITH

Questioned signature or handwriting, plus suitable known references. Use genuine digitizer captures for timing and pressure.

03 / A MORE CONNECTED PROCESS

Less fragmented work.
More visible context.

Bring repeatable processing and measured comparisons into the workflow. Time and cost depend on the source material, selected methods and reporting scope.

04 / PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Know what
to bring.

Technical scope

A visual similarity measurement describes resemblance; it is not an authenticity verdict. Timing and pressure require real capture data and cannot be recovered from a scanned signature.

Can I compare signatures in a PDF?

The visual-similarity workflow accepts PDF or image signatures with 1–20 references. Other comparison workflows have their own image and reference requirements; the signature module lists them separately.

What if I have several known signatures?

A multi-reference comparison helps expose natural variation. Some workflows require at least two references; combined evidence also depends on the available reference set and its agreement.

Can a scan reveal writing pressure or speed?

No. Real timing, pen-state and pressure measurements require genuine digitizer capture data. A scan supports static appearance and stroke measurements instead.
